GUANIDINOACETIC ACID RESEARCH LIBRARY
This educational portal is established as a side project of a research group headed by Professor Sergej M. Ostojic, MD, PhD in aim to collect, classify, and present the scientific studies on guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) in one place. The papers are collected from peer-reviewed academic journals and publications, and relevant scientific events.
The portal authors employed relevant databases (such as PubMed, Web of Science, and SCOPUS) for literature search purposes, and only English language articles are considered. The list of studies is updated on a regular basis, with the studies presented in abstract form, categorized according to the research discipline (e.g., Physiology, Pathophysiology, Human Nutrition, Feed Additive), and linked to the full text when possible.
We strive to facilitate and educate professionals and general public interested in using GAA, either as an experimenal agent in human nutrition or innovative feed additive in animal diet, to improve health and performance, or energy metabolism and meat quality. A greater overall understanding of the safety and efficacy of supplemental GAA will help the community to make better informed decisions about this organic compound.
